This hex nut is manufactured to DIN 934 standards and made from steel with a hot-dip galvanized finish. It features an oversized metric thread produced to a 6AZ tolerance class. Pair it with externally threaded components—such as bolts or threaded rods—that meet the 6g tolerance class prior to galvanizing. Because the thread is tapped after galvanizing, it doesn't carry a coating of its own; corrosion resistance is instead provided by the zinc layer on the mating part. Please note: Class |10| nuts conform to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than Class 10 nuts per ISO 898-2. Mechanical overloading may cause the threads of either the nut or the bolt to strip.
