This all-metal self-locking hex nut is manufactured to DIN 980V and ISO 7042 standards. It features a built-in locking mechanism that helps prevent the nut from loosening due to vibration or mechanical stress. Available with metric threading, it's made from A8 stainless steel (1.4529)—a super austenitic stainless steel offering high corrosion resistance (HCR). This material protects against chloride stress corrosion as well as pitting and crevice corrosion, and it's rated in the highest corrosion class, CRC V (very high, per EN 1993-1-4). These properties make 1.4529 an excellent choice for demanding applications such as swimming pools and tunnels.
