This nylon insert lock nut is manufactured to DIN 985 and ISO 10511 standards and features a non-metallic locking element. Made from steel with a zinc-plated finish and thick Cr(III+) passivation, it's built to hold up to long-term outdoor use. The nut has metric threading and is rated at strength class |8|. Please note: Class |8| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than Class 8 nuts rated to ISO 898-2. Mechanical overload can cause the threads on either the nut or the bolt to strip.
