This self-locking hex nut with a nylon insert is manufactured to DIN 985 and ISO 10511 standards and features a non-metallic locking element. Made from steel, the nut has an electro-galvanized, yellow-passivated finish, making it suitable for indoor use or applications with very mild exposure. It has a metric thread and a strength class of |8|. Please note: class |8| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than class 8 nuts rated to ISO 898-2. Mechanical overloading can cause the threads of the nut or bolt to strip.
