This self-locking hex nut with nylon insert is manufactured to DIN 985 and ISO 10512 standards. Made from steel with an electro-galvanized, yellow-passivated finish, it's suited for indoor applications or environments with very mild exposure. The locking action is provided by a non-metallic insert. The nut features a metric fine thread and is rated at strength class |8|. Please note: class |8| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than class 8 nuts rated to ISO 898-2. Mechanical overloading can cause the threads of the nut or bolt to strip.
