This DIN 934 hex nut is made from A2 stainless steel and features a METALFORM surface treatment. Manufactured to DIN 934 standards, it has a property class of 70 with a minimum tensile strength of 700 MPa and comes with metric threading. METALFORM is a dry, virtually invisible lubricant that all but eliminates thread galling in stainless steel and reduces the friction coefficient to normal, more consistent levels. In a bolt-and-nut assembly, only the nut needs to be coated with METALFORM. Once installed, the lubricant can be easily removed with a standard solvent, making these nuts suitable for use in the food industry.
