This hex nut is manufactured to DIN 934 standards and made of steel with a Zinc Flake coating per ISO 10683 (flZnnc), Cr(VI+)-free. The surface treatment combines zinc and aluminum to deliver superior corrosion resistance compared to a pure zinc coating of the same thickness, with no risk of hydrogen embrittlement. The nut features metric threading and is rated at strength class |10|. Please note: Class |10| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than Class 10 nuts rated to ISO 898-2. Mechanical overload can cause the threads on either the nut or the bolt to strip.
