Hexagon nut ISO 4032 Steel Hot dip galvanized 8 ISO metric

This ISO 4032 hex nut is made of steel with a hot-dip galvanized finish. Rated at strength class 8, it's designed to pair with bolts and screws of strength class 8.8 or lower. The threads are metric and manufactured to a 6H tolerance class. This nut should be used with externally threaded fasteners—such as bolts and threaded rods—that have a 6az tolerance class prior to galvanizing. Because the threads are tapped after galvanizing, they don't carry a zinc coating themselves; corrosion protection is instead provided by the zinc layer on the mating component.

Info
  • ISO metric hot dip galvanized nuts are manufactured with thread tolerance class 6H and mate with externally threaded parts (bolts, threaded rods) that are manufactured with thread tolerance class 6az before coating.
  • As the nut thread is tapped after galvanizing the threads are not coated. The corrosion resistance however is not influenced disadvantageously as the thread will be protected by the zinc layer of the mating part.ISO metric
