Rivets are fasteners with a pin and an enlarged end, also known as the head. The majority of rivets have either a domed or countersunk head. The head formed during riveting is called the closing head, which comes in domed or flat versions. The rivet is driven (and supported on the backside), thickening the shaft to form a connection.
Rivets were primarily used in shipbuilding and metal structures, such as the Eiffel Tower. Nowadays, the rivet is losing popularity and is often replaced by the blind rivet, also known as a pop rivet.
At Fabory, we have an extensive range of rivets with countless choices of material, head type, and dimensions. We offer stainless steel rivets, aluminium rivets, and also rivets made of brass or copper. Various rivets conform to DIN 661/302 or DIN 660/124 standards, ensuring correct specifications.
Rivets are mainly available with a domed or countersunk head, and both variants can be found in the Fabory rivet range. If you need advice on riveting products, please do not hesitate to contact our product experts. They will tell you more about riveting products or other fastening solutions.
